Textile environmental cost

Since 1 October 2026

Ecobalyse fields per SKU (mass, spinning, weaving, dyeing and making countries) so you can publish your own score instead of leaving defaults to a third party. Third parties may publish textile environmental cost without prior agreement. Display stays voluntary, but if you communicate a score on an environmental impact of a textile product, the official environmental cost must appear with it.

This product tracks SKUs, suppliers and packaging duties. Private-label and EmpCo scheme operators often use Label Registry for the referential, applications and public register.

Frequently asked questions

Does Product Registry replace a lawyer or a notified body?: No. It is an operational aid: it organises your data, evidence and deadlines. Declarations are still signed and owned by your company.
Do my suppliers have to pay or create an account?: No. They receive a secure link that you share with them and upload their documents for free.
Does Product Registry file declarations with authorities on my behalf?: No. Where no official interface exists, we prepare a pre-filled pack and you submit it yourself. No submission is ever simulated.
I am on Shopify, can I use it?: Yes, through CSV import. Native connectors start with PrestaShop and WooCommerce.
How does the free trial work?: 14 days to import your catalogue and test the due queue. After the trial, the workspace is read only until an active subscription.
When is payment requested?: When Stripe is configured for your environment, you choose Starter or Growth from Billing. Federation stays on quote by email.
Can I export my data?: Yes. Inspection packs, per-SKU exports and supplier files remain downloadable from your workspace.
Does the service cover the UK or only the EU?: The registry targets EU product law and French calendars (EmpCo, Ecobalyse). Adapt your processes for non-EU markets.
I run a private label or certification scheme, not only a product catalogue.: Product Registry covers catalogue, suppliers and packaging obligations. To publish a referential, take applications and keep a certificate register, use Label Registry. Product Registry is not the certifier or verifier on that registry.
